What performance impact, if any, would a person expect to see by creating a symbolic link with MKLINK to redirect to another directory, on another drive?
In my opinion you shouldn't see any performance impact at all after the link has been established and verified. Unless you're trying to run something from the target and it exists on another machine. Then, of course, you'll notice a drop in performance. If only by the amount of data that has to be sent between the two.
