So, I have a bit of a dilemma at the moment with Virtualbox.
I have this Win 2k virtual machine. I had an idea of something I could do with it. The VM currently has 2048 MB (2 GB) of RAM allocated to it, 128 MB video memory, and one CPU core. (Kinda overkill, I know. I just bumped it up to 2 gigs of RAM an hour or so ago for the idea.)
It is to my understanding there are two physical cores in my CPU (If thats what they are called.) I had a question. Am I safely able to let the VM see both cores without completely crashing the computer or freezing the host OS or entire computer? I would be willing to lower the execution cap for the guest OS in Virtualbox, I was just wondering if this was possible to do this safely, and have my host OS still work relatively stable.
And if so, would I have to do it a specific way or enable specific settings in Virtualbox or BIOS or anything? (I know what most of the Virtualbox settings mean, im familiar with the program, I just asked this paticuar part in case I miss anything.)
