Dead zones and extending wifi signal

Currently with Vodafone broadband, but there is no internet on the top floor of my house

We an ethernet cable running from the router upstairs and was wondering what the best device is to either

- plug into ethernet cable to allow wifi access on top floor (preferred as I presume it will be the fastest speed)

Or

- have a wireless device that will boost the signal to upstairs (transmit and receive or boost etc)

Will be used to stream, game, music, and email

Thanks

Since you ran an Ethernet cable to the upstairs, the best option is to install an AP there. If roaming is not a concern, then you could possibly get away with purchasing any AP. If roaming is a concern, then this opens up some complications.

I would never use a repeater or booster.
