Can someone give me some direction on this. I have been trying to eliminate this proxy setting and have had no luck, I believe that it is causing issues with java and not letting me get on my e-mail and so on. I get this message when I log into my 2nd e-mail:
"Error Sending Template Data: "java.lang.NullPointerException".

Here is my hijack this log:

Have you tried checking and "fixing" it in HijackThis? I've seen it in another log and just ignored it not know what it was. I don't think it's going to cause a java language error.

However, check and fix this as well!

I still have this error message that won't let me get on any sites. From the Bellsouth site I get. "Error Sending Template Data: "java.lang.NullPointerException"." I have tried to re-download explorer and it did not help any. Any Ideas? The 127.0.0.1:7212 is a proxy lock that over-rides all other internet proxy #s. I can get on the internet, so at this moment, I do not care about it. I would just like to be able to surf with out a ton of error messages.

Thanks on the BHO removal!

Have you tried reinstalling Sun Java?

I've "googled" that error message and there are a ton of them mostly relating to folks who use Verizon -- no one seems to be solving it.

I'm wondering if Yahoo isn't involved in it. Also you have a ton of pop-up and ad blocking and otherentries there, associated with "ghostsurf", and that could be involved since Java applets often use pop-up windows.

If you have another browser you can test with, that would be worthwhile.

You can try Mozilla Firefox -- and if you want to go for the full install, it will also include Sun's Java.

I am now working on Mozilla fox fire and everything is working fine now. May the wind always be at your back, your legs never grow tired and your helmet protect that brain of yours.

Thanks!

You're welcome, I don't know exactly why IE should have been a problem with that -- but sometimes pop-up and ad-blockers are specific to IE -- so it may have been one of those at the root of the problem. However if you got a new install of Java with Firefox, perhaps the problem in IE is resolved as well.

But Firefox is a more secure browser anyway, hopefully you will find it to your liking.
