If you are watching 1920 x 1080 movie on 1920 x 1200 monitor will you get black bar top and bottom on 1920 x 1200 monitor or will 1920 x 1080 movie stretch to the edges of 1920x1200 monitor.

U should get black bars on the sides becuz the movie isn't as wide as the screen. It won't stretch the image.

Actually, Syc0path has that backwards, you have it correct: you will get the bars at the top and bottom. The movie is as wide as the screen, but it isn't as tall. 1920 is the width. Widescreen is 16x9; your monitor is 16x10.

So to double check 1920 x 1080 plays 16:9 movies without Top or Bottom & Size Black Bars without any adjustments like stretching the movie?

At the moment my 22" has maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 and to make it full screen I need to stretch the movie. Trying to figure out which resolution would be best for my next monitor when watching movies.
