I guess I installed Windows XP twice. One version is on my C drive and it is also on my D drive. When I boot the computer, it asks which one I want to use. One is functional, the other doesn't work because it never prompted me to make a password when I installed it. The one that works is on my D drive, which isn't my primary drive....but it works fine. So, can I remove the one on the C drive (primary drive) since it doesn't work? How do I uninstall it? When I go to add/remove programs, there is only ONE Windows XP there to uninstall.....

You can delete the directory from C:, and then remove the section in the boot.ini that references that installation of the OS.

    Job done. :)

You mean just delete the Windows folder in my C drive?

right clik my computer, properties, advanced tab, settings under startup and recovery. then uncheck the box where it says time to display list of operating systems.

Right. Delete the Windows Folder. And then edit boot.ini removing the reference to that installation. Then you won't see the menu at startup anymore.

Otterbob's solution will get rid of the menu as well, but won't delete the actual OS from the drive. Which you would want to do by deleting the folder.
