I have a 2003 server and want to join a 2000 domain as a member. It seems as though the networking protocols are messed up.\

I get this same error message except for my domain name.
I tried to flush the DNS and still nothing. I even took this server to my network that I know works and it was the same thing. So I know there is something a mess with the 2003 server. Netlogon is not started and I can't get it started could that be it? What other DNS commands can I try?
I can use the internet, Ping the gateway, and dns. Nslookup is pointing to the right server/domain.

It's not the protocols it is Active Directory that is the issue. What is the current DNS name of the server? Most orgs name them something like domainname.local and you need to have it exactly like it is in DNS.
