Im running win 2k pro on a new system. Everything has been running great accept for one problem. The past 2 nights I ahve been away and both nights my pc crashed. When I got back home, nothing was respoding, And I can not even get it to reboot or shut down. My mouse works fine, but I still can not open anything. I have to reset the pc. I am only running a few progs while im away. ZoneAlarm, 2 WINeggs, and 2 scripts for IRC. The only other things running are OS programs I would imagine. Any ideas? I hate having problems with a new pc.

    Intel 1.8MHz P4
    DFI atx P4 full feature
    512MB of PC-133
    WIN 2K pro service pack 2, 5.0

Right click your desktop> properties>sreensaver tab>power(at the bottom) and set all your power schemes to "Never".
See if this doesn't solve the problem.
    Hope this helps

Being that this pc is only 3 weeks old, could it be that something is failing?

Anything is possible, but I suspect it's ZoneAlarm or WINeggs. I have had ZoneAlarm lock up on me often when little or no activate occurs. I would start with it. Disable it for one night and see if the problem occurs.
