2nd e mail address problem

    i have set up a second e mail address on my computer in outlook express but it does not seem to recieve any e mails anyone sends to it! It does however recieve all the emails sent to my main address! Also, if i send an e mail between either of the 2 addresses they are both sent & recieved ok.

    Probably a settings issue.

    Sounds like you are using the account name of the original email address for the second email address.

    I would need more information, but the way my ISP works, when you register a 2nd email address, the account name is slightly different, and a common mistake is for the customer to use the original account name when setting up the 2nd email alias, which means they will get the mail for the original email address. This does not effect sending email, only receiving it.

    Go into tools>accounts> then double click on the mail account, click on the servers tab, and check what you have as the account name. Is this the same as the account name for the primary email address? If so, this is the problem.
