My laptop and my android phone wifi's are working properly. However I'm unable to connect wifi in another laptop, a Toshiba Qosmio windows 7. The laptop detects the wifi connection but when I put the key for the wifi it does not connect. My old laptop and phone wifi are working fine. Just not the new laptop. Can somebody advise some solutions

Make sure you are not using MAC Address filtering on the router.

Please attach a screen shot of the Networks page (including Radar, Connection and Signal History) of the Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector. If you need help with that see TSG Posting a Screenshot. FWIW to take screen shots with Windows 7 or Vista I prefer to use the built-in Snipping Tool.

    And show ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

Login to the router and look. Consult the user manual for clues as to what section it is in, and exactly what it's called on your router.

That's a very busy environment with tons of very strong networks; some are not even showing on your screen shot. Which one is yours? See if you can enlarge that section of the window to show at least the strong (green) signals.

I think you are asking which network is mine. My wireless connection is the one named "bilal".

Thanks. Changing the router to use channel 1 may give better results.

Make sure you have the latest wireless driver from the laptop manufacturer's web site.

Sorry to have bothered you. Everything works fine. I was putting the wrong security key. I think this thread needs to be deleted instead of marking it solved because there was nothing to solve in the first place.
    Thanks for trying to help

You're not the first person to have used the wrong security key for one reason or another and I can guarantee you that you will not be the last. :)

It's your choice whether to mark it Solved, and probably help somebody else who is experiencing the same issue, but I certainly consider it Solved. Also, I thank you for posting the solution. (y)
