I have a Windows 7 operating system, to which I have added Linux (Ubuntu). I wish to add Windows XP to run a number of programs I have that won't work on 7. Which is the easiest way of doing it, please?

The best way is to install 7 after XP as the other way round means that you will likely have problems with the bootloader
However with Ubuntu and if you are using grub as the boot, you should not encounter too many problems

Have you tried running the XP programs in compatibility mode or indeed have you considered XP in a virtual machine as if it is only to be used for the purpose stated that may be a better way to go

Try VirtualBox. Then you don't have to change boot files or worry about drivers.

HI Macboatmaster, I assume from your flag that you are welsh, I too live in Wales, Monmouthshire actually. I have decided to get a computer running Win XP and run them in Parallel. So I'm looking to get a switch that will do the job.
