32 or 64 bit

    I'm building a knew computer and wanted to know wich xp I should install.The knew cpu is amd 64 x2. If that means 64 bit do I have to buy another xp made for 64 bit ?

    You can use either a 54 or 32 bit Operating System . . so far, there are still not many applications and drivers for the 64 bit systems . . not much reason to use a 64 bit O/S

    is there a difference in xp cd's?or are they all the same and just labeled differntly?

    There are differences . . in Race ( Home, Pro or MCE ) and Gender ( Retail, Upgrade, OEM, Volume )
