32bit and 64bit what's the difference?

    Buying a new vista computer and saw that some say - Windows Vista Home Premium with Windows Media Center (32bit)
    Or (64bit)

    Whats the difference please?
    As just want a computer that is easy to use but runs well with my external and printer etc.
    Make it easy to understand please.:confused:
