    Hello,

I recently found my old 3Com Home Connect Web Camera along with its CD.

The CD runs fine, and it says it will shut down my computer and that i should insert the cord to
an open usb on my computer while it is shut down.

After turning the computer back on, something is supposed to open up and complete the installation.

    But nothing does.

And the camera does not work.

If it's an old camera (around 5 years old or more) it may not be compatible with Windows 7. More specifically, it's the drivers on the CD that are not compatible. If the camera manufacturer has a website, they may have posted Windows 7 drivers for that camera model, but don't count on it. having new drivers written costs them money so to keep costs down they cease support for obsolete models to encourage you to buy a new one.
