I've had a 530s for almost 3 year and it's been fine. Was initially a Vista box which I upgraded to W7 Ultimate. 3 weeks ago the fan started running ALL THE TIME and I goggled around to see what might be wrong.

Several people had a similar problem and a BIOS upgrade seemed to help. So, without reading things too carefully I flashed the BIOS to the latest one 1.0.18. After the flash a screen message in windows said all was fine and a reboot was required.

Upon the attempted reboot I get 1 short beep, a lot of fan noise and no display. I did have an upgraded video card in the 530s and was running a DVI - VGA to a 60" Plasma screen.
Here's what I have tried:

1. Booting from W7 CD/DVD
2. Booting from Norton Ghost recovery disk
3. Hooking up the PC to a dvi monitor
4. Hooking up from the on board VGA video card to the plasma

None of those things worked...still getting the 1 beep and no display

5. Bought a used Dell 530 motherboard on ebay and replaced it...same problem exactly when running to the plasma via both DVI and VGA from the PC.

6. For fun, I pulled the video card and ran to the plasma via the on board VGA port....no change.

I'm about to give up since I can't get a display.

Does anyone have any good ideas i can try before I junk the PC?

BTW, here's the board I bought:
