    Hello pierced1foru. Welcome to thr TSG

    This is what I suggest you do first.

    Make sure you have the up-to-date versions of Spybot and Ad-aware. All are free and available bellow.

    Download Spybot, install and update. Then download Ad-aware, install, and update.

    Spybot:
    Go to Start > Programs >Spybot > Search & Destroy and choose Spybot S&D

    Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D
    Click the button to "Search for Updates" and download and install the Updates.
    Next click the button "Check for Problems"
    When Spybot is complete, it will be showing "RED" (RED) entries "BLACK" entries and "GREEN" (GREEN) entries in the window
    Put a check mark beside the RED (RED) entries ONLY.
    Choose "Fix Selected Problems" and allow Spybot to fix the RED (RED) entries.

    Ad-Aware FULL SCAN:

    Install the program and launch it.

    First in the main window look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.

    From main window :Click Start then under Select a scan Mode tick Perform full system scan.

    Next deselect Search for negligible risk entries.

    Now to scan just click the Next button.

    When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of it.(Right-click the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and click Next)

    Before restart, Empty Recycle Bin.

    Restart your computer.

    Scan and post another HijackThis.

    Hi pierced1foru, Welcome to TSG!! :)

    One question... do you really like that rivermen site ?? :eek: Too much overhead for me!

    Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{20EC3D2D-33C1-4C9D-BC37-C2D500688DA2} - (no file)
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {20EC3D2D-33C1-4C9D-BC37-C2D500688DA2} - C:\Program Files\TV Media\TvmBho.dll (file missing)
    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\Windows\System32\wsaupdater.exe,
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - SOFTWARE - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: SDWin32 Class - {29874946-38F2-4D62-939C-2D61CA64DF76} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\wkqmx.dll
    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {2CDE1A7D-A478-4291-BF31-E1B4C16F92EB} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Winad Client] C:\Program Files\Winad Client\Winad.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WebRebates0] C:\Program Files\Web_Rebates\WebRebates0.exe
    O16 - DPF: {15AD4789-CDB4-47E1-A9DA-992EE8E6BAD6} - http://public.windupdates.com/get_f...585d7b34e81015d

    Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

    Restart in safe mode

    Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab. Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files". Now click "Apply to all folders"
    Click "Apply" then "OK".

    Delete these:
    C:\Program Files\Winad Client --> folder
    C:\Program Files\Web_Rebates --> folder
    C:\Windows\System32\wsaupdater.exe --> file
    C:\Program Files\TV Media --> folder

    Empty your recycle bin.

    Reboot and post another log.

    Please don't start a new thread for the same problem. Cybertech was helping you here:

    http://forums.techguy.org/showthread.php?t=269493

    By replying to the same thread, she would be notified by e-mail that you had replied. This way, she would not.

    I will merge them both together.

    Missed this one so please try again...
    Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Winad Client] C:\Program Files\Winad Client\Winad.exe

    Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

    Reboot to safe mode and delete the folder C:\Program Files\Winad Client

    If it says the file is in use press CTRL+ALT+Delete and end-task on Winad.exe then try to delete again.
