I have a system that keeps getting these popups (680180). Can anyone help me clean this system? Here is the Hijackthis log file. Thanks.

Download the Peper fix:

http://downloads.subratam.org/PeperFix.exe

Make sure you are connected to the net and run it. If asked by your firewall for permission to access the net, please grant permission. Reboot and run it a second time while connected to the net.

Then...

Download:

Adaware

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Before you scan with AdAware, check for updates of the reference file by using the "webupdate".
Then ........

Click the gear wheel at the top and check these options:

General> activate these: "Automatically save log-file" and "Automatically quarantine objects prior to removal"

Scanning > activate these: "Scan within archives", "Scan active processes", "Scan registry", "Deep scan registry", "Scan my IE Favorites for banned sites" and "Scan my Hosts file"

Tweaks > Scanning Engine> activate this: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

Tweaks > Cleaning Engine: activate these: "Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion" and "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

Click "Proceed" to save your settings, then click "Start", make sure "Activate in-depth scan" is ticked green then scan your system. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next".
The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

Reboot when done.

Then...

Terminate your internet connection, open HijackThis, scan, and place a check beside the entries listed below. Make sure ALL Browsers and Explorer Windows are closed (most important). Then click on the "Fixed checked" button.

You are looking for an object that looks like one of the following:

O2 - BHO: SDWin32 Class - {YYYYYYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYYYYYYYYYY} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\XXXXX.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {YYYYYYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYYYYYYYYYY} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\XXXXX.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {YYYYYYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYYYYYYYYYY} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\SWin32.dll

The XXXXX will be 5 random characters. The YYYY will be random letters and numbers.

3. Check the object that looks similar to the one above and click fix.
4. Browse to your C:\Windows\System32\ folder.
5. Look for 7 files as listed below:
- XXXXXa.xml
- XXXXXb.xml
- XXXXXc.exe
- XXXXXd.exe
- XXXXXe.xml
- XXXXXf.exe
- XXXXX.dll

(Extensions may not be the same)

The XXXXX will be the same random 5 characters from step two.
6. Delete all these files.
7. Restart your computer.

I don’t like:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wby65.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\DtxzohNx.exe
which do not respond to a Google search. Unless you know what they do (right click – Properties and then have a look) I would be suspicious. Find them and Rename them XXX.eye instead of XXX.exe If nothing happens in a week delete them

Although not classified as spyware, there are programs to remove
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://ms101.mysearch.com/sa/srchlft.html

I’d get rid of this
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page_bak = latinascomealive.com/? to verify your age? (REQUIRED!)WARNING! Adult pictures are featured in this site. Only adults permitted beyond this point. Are you at least 18 years old

and these
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {4D2A40F1-5BE8-4DF5-B2C7-FB1F21283298} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {014DA6C9-189F-421a-88CD-07CFE51CFF10} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {581F0D86-3CA1-46B0-8AD1-5FCF76D5347E} - (no file)

O1 - Hosts: 12.129.205.209 search.netscape.com12.129.205.209 sitefinder.verisign.com

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [2LRX2W83X2T3MQ] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Zgl8.exe

The following does not respond to a Google search, do you know why it’s there?
C:\WINDOWS\System32\cmnsu.dll
