Hi, I'm trying to install Win98se on a neighbor's old computer. He originally had Win95 and his files were a mess. I reformatted his hard drive then tried to install Win98se. When I get to the setup installation wizard (yes, that is as far as I get), horizontal white lines scatter on the screen and the system totally freezes up. Can anyone give me a little help on this?

    Hi alphawolf,

    Welcome to the site.

Sounds like a dodgy CD to me.
    Is it a copy?
Maybe you could run 'Scandisk' on it (D drive usually)
using the computer that you're on now.
