When I boot up the computer, the bios goes through the memory check and displays the box with all the correct drives, but before starting DOS, it says "Invalid System Disk. Please replace disk, then press any key". The bizarre thing is that there are no floppys or cd roms in any of the drives. I am under the impression that the hard drive is functionning properly because i just did a re-format of it yesterday. Can anybody help me? Thank you!
Here's some more information: I told the BIOS to first boot up from the C: and got the error. Then, I made a boot disk and told the BIOS to boot from the A: drive. It got the same error. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks!
Bad? No. But it will result in the error you are getting.
So, boot from floppy, and at the A prompt type SYS C: and after it tells you the system files are transferred you should be able to boot from your hard drive again.
