Or do you have a windows XP home/professional disk?

Honestly, I wouldnt touch a vista disk with a 10 foot pole.

I had to work with a vista the other day because of where I work thought

Anyways, I would try using the restore disk that came with your PC and try installing XP to the new disk. :)

Well, for one thing you will need to get your drivers from somewhere..and another thing..

I dont get out much and this may have been some stupid rumor, but I heard you cant buy windows XP oem any more..or something like that.

a driver is a file on your computer that tells your operating system what the hell all the devices in your computer are. without them, depending on what you're missing, you could have no video, no audio, no hard drive, no PCI cards, no USB or USB 2.0, No printer, no..well without drivers you wouldnt be doing much. :)
