Hello...I was wondering is there a book that is a good book to help better prepare someone for the A+ Cert. Exam....I'm in school now and use Course Technology(Enhanced Third Edition), it's okay but it jumps around to much.
Also I would like to build a computer for x-Xmas for my self and was wondering does anybody know of a good place to get the parts..I was told Tiger Direct.
    Any feedback is better none

    hey cruzan29,
    Welcome to TSG!

When I was studying for the A+, I heard that Mike Myers book was the best. I went to news groups to find out all kinds of stuff to help out with the test. You have probably tried the search engines to find websites that can help you prepare with practice exams, right? Go to this link for what I thought was the best site for this:

For parts, the best place is at computer shows. See here if there is a Market Pro Computer Show in your area.

In regards to the A+ study guide, I used a great one written by a guy named Scott Mueller (I think). The book should be available at your local book store, and only cost me about $20 (Canadian).
It sort of skips over all the BS, and just tells you what is relevant.

    I highly recommend it ;)
