I am looking for a free programme that will let me scan an image that is scaled and measure it myself. The drawing is scaled to 1 : 250 but I don't have that on my ruler. Many thanks, Allan.

    Hi, Try these

    http://www.freebyte.com/cad/cad.htm

    http://www.cadazz.com/free-cad-software.htm < CadStd looks promising.

    http://iconico.com/caliper/

Some have free trial versions, but they function the same during the time period.

If time is not pressing, they give you a free Iconico CD with some trial versions included, but of course that will
not help you if you need it tonite.

The Freeware Google Sketchup will let you import drawings (jpeg, tiff, bmps) and will dimension.

Don't have any "drawings" to try ... but it might work.
