This has only happened twice...once with a wav file and once with a gif. They end up being saved as MS-DOS Application. I am not doing anything different so why is this happening?

How are they being named?
Name.exe?
Or name.wav.exe?

If they are being saved with double extension, you need to perform an up to date virus scan. Don't try to open them.

Usually the wavs save as .wav (type) wave sound and the gifs normally are .gif (type) GIF image.
This just happened the last 2 days. Most of my gifs and wavs are saved as they should ... just two didn't.
The one that came up MS-DOS is named with the website(that it is taken from).com
and (type) is MS-DOS Application.
