ACtually, I sort of know what to do, but I'm so tired right now that I don't know... if that makes any sense..

She's got a problem with a single pop-up showing up on occasion, then repeating itself multiple times..

A friend suggested System Restore, but I'm pretty sure it's Spyware, I just don't remember the...address for Hijack this and that other site..

Does anybody know it, and if so, what does she do after that..
    Please help. Arigatou!

    Download 'Hijack This!' from http://www.spywareinfo.com/files/hijackthis.zip
Unzip, and run HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".
When the scan is finished, click "Save Log", and copy and paste it in a reply.

Don't fix anything yet as most of what is in the log will be ok,
Just paste it in here and someone will have a look at it for you.

If she hasn't already done it, you might also advise her to download and install AD-AWARE 6.0.181 and SPYBOT - SEARCH & DESTROY 1.2.0. The links to download them from and the instructions for updating and running them are here.
