The problem is a false positive which identifies a regular Windows binary, “svchost.exe”, as “W32/Wecorl.a”, a virus.

LOL... poor guy who fouled that one up.

You'd think they would test these definitions before releasing them....


Here's a quick resolution to the problem for anyone seeing this:

It involves copying over a copy of svchost from the dllcache to %system% from the recovery console.
