What OS? In XP right click My Computer pick properties and pick computername, In 2000 right click My Computer pick properties and pick Network Identification.

You also can usually tell by going into the Network Neighborhood (or My network places) and look at your entire network under Microsoft Windows Network. The workgroup will be seen before you see what computers are in each workgroup.
