Here is a picture of Bill Gates home. Its over 55,000 square feet and built into a hill so you can't even see the entire house. Its worth 97 million dollars.
His property taxes last year were one million dollars.

Love this, are you kidding?! My passion is architecture. I deal with interior design at work, but my dad was a builder and it's the OUTSIDE of the design I love! Keep 'em comin'! I can't do what you guys do with pictures yet, so does anyone have anything by frank Lloyd Wright? Fallingwaters? Love the cantilevering!

Hello,

:D Oldie, celticsong and hotskates :D

Bill Gate's House looks a little ramshackle and rambling to me. Is that really where he lives? :D

Oooh, you're at it again, Oldie! Wessex may be an ancient county but we did drag ourselves out of the Dark Ages some time ago, you know! Chatsworth, isn't that in that big county up north, Yorkshire is it?

I also love architecture and buildings of all kinds. Industrial architecture is very interesting, too - Mills, factories, and wharf buildings, etc.

Bye,
Penny. :)

Penny - Why don't you think Bill Gates would like the "rustic country" look? He's a hippy way down under you know (just look at his mugshot picture) ;) I bet if you could see a close up clear shot of that house it would look a lot nicer. I wouldn't mind living there on the lake!

Hello hotskates,

I just thought he'd have something grand and imposing - no slur on anyone. It didn't occur to me that he'd have something relaxed and rambling. Good for him, why not! And, yes, what a lovely situation.

Best wishes,
Bye,
Penny.

Hello Oldie,

Cor, the first is French gone mad, and the second very "Moorish" and convuluted - are those the words? :D My taste is an old stone farm house, or a brick and timber building. No harm in dreaming!

Best wishes,
Bye,
Penny. :)
