I wanted to know whether 2 different wireless network PCI cards of different standards can communicate with each other or not.
I mean like whether a wireless nic of 802.11b standard can communicate with another wireless nic of 802.11g standard.

They should, but you will need to disable any "turbo" options in the drivers, since they're normally proprietary to a specific vendor. Also, to connect two wireless adapters, you'll need to use AD-HOC mode, not Infrastructure mode. Infrastructure mode is for Wireless Access Points or routers.
