So last night I copied the contents of my external hard drive to another external drive, because I've now had a couple of drives die on me and I want to make doubly sure that if one dies, I'll still be able to access all my info. Basically what I have now are two external drives that look identical and contain all the same info. But as time goes on I know I'll make changes to the contents of the "main" external drive, as I add and delete stuff, move things around, etc. Rather than take the time to manually make sure my new, 2nd external drive always looks exactly like the first one, I was wondering if there's some software out there than can automatically do this? Like if I add or delete files from the main external drive, I could run the software and it would instantly know what changes I've made and then apply those changes to the 2nd external drive? Something like that? Having to manually update both drives would be a pain and I'm sure I'd forget something, but if there was a program that could do it for me, it would be worth whatever it cost. Does anyone know of anything along those lines?
Apologies if I haven't explained this well enough- I'm a bit of a novice with this sort of stuff.
Much obliged for reading this post and for any thoughts anyone may have!
