    Unless by "I had to fit it into the back two rows for it to boot up" you mean that it didn't work in the first 2 then no, as that sounds a bit iffy, otherwise both memory pairs are identical and both pairs of slots are identical.

    The specs on your board say that it will support up to 4gig of ram however you probably will not notice any difference in performance since 4gig is somewhat overkill. In addition many boards clock the memory to a lower speed when all four slots are filled ie from 400 down to 333.

    In addition many asus boards with 4gig installed will show only about 3.3gig or so. IMO you are wasting your money however yes it will support the memory.
