ableton and resolume avenue 3.1.1 sync

    Hello there everybody,
    I was wondering if you could help me, I`m trying to sync up a laptop and desktop to use ableton and resolume avenue 3.1.1,,,,,, where do it start? I know this question has very little info in it so ask me what you need to know.

    I attempted a Google search, and one of the site results crashed my browser. Perhaps if you provide more information, someone might be able to help.

    resolume is a vj software......for visuals. but its not safe to run it and ableton on same pc. is what im told.
    I have been told I might need to use something like a MIDI yoke.
    or tbh any vj software that will work on the same pc as abelton.
    can i jst say im posting for a friend cause i know that this site is great for getting help, i`ve been around here for years and got so much help from you all, and he is totally stumped.

    Maybe someone will come along who is familiar with these applications, but it sounds like very specialized software.
