    I diwnloaded both Adaware and Spybot and ran both as suggested (adware in deep scan mode).
    I then rebooted in safe mode and ran CWshredder etc,
    And here is the highjack this log below.
    can someone check it and tell me if this is gone.

    Close your browser, check the following entries in HJT, click Fix and then REBOOT.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [www.hidro.4t.com ] enbiei.exe

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WebInstall2] C:\DOCUME~1\solar\LOCALS~1\Temp\ins1FC.tmp /R /A

    O16 - DPF: {11111111-1111-1111-1111-111111111157} - ms-its:mhtml:file://c:\nosuch.mht!http://cashsearch.biz/legal/x.chm::/load.exe

    O16 - DPF: {11311111-1111-1111-1111-111111111157} - file://C:\Program Files\Q330994.exe

    After rebooting, find and delete this file:

    enbiei.exe

    I did as you suggested and rebooted but I could not find the enbiei.exe.
    But everything seems to be ok.

    I've got that on my system, too. I ran CWshredder Saturday morning and I thought it was gone because it didn't appear anymore all day. I even updated my IE with the Virtual Machine patch that would supposedly close the port. I rebooted my computer today and still my regular homepage came up, so I'm starting to believe it's gone for good... then as I was surfing for a period... I check internet options and it's back to "about:blank." I do a Hijackthis scan and the entries are back again. I've deleted the usual suspects, but left what I've always believed was safe. So maybe I should delete more. Or what else can I do? Help a new member. I'm ready to toss this computer!!
