I just installed a new 10k rpm drive on which I want to do a fresh xp pro install. My current os is on my C drive (80gb) along with other stuff I need (about 55gb). I didn't partition it in the beginning which I now regret. So how can I install the new os and keep the other C drive data. I don't know if I should attempt some kind of dual boot. Or is there a way to disable windows on the c drive after the install on the 10k?
I have no space to backup 55gb of data. My theory is that I can install xp fresh then reboot and be prompted in dos to choose which OS. it's a little confusing what I should do first.

I would greatly appreciate your insight.
