About that recent, big XP virus in late august that made XP reboot(among other things).

I'm attempting to get that virus completely out of another computer. The computer would disconnect itself as soon as i went online(ie the lastest Yahoo page,my homepage would appear).

I found and copied a virus remover from Techguy, one designed to fix/rid the virus. It worked somewhat.i would run the remover and a bunch of infected files were removed. But it seems when i go onlne, the virus reinfects my computer and i get disconnected again. i am not online long enough to go to a site to remove the virus.

If you go through the virus removal steps in the safe mode, I believe you might get rid of all of it. I've read where this has worked for others having a difficult time cleaning their computer.
