Mostly FX, & sometimes Opera user here. I thought I'd try Google Chrome & see what all the hub-bub was about. I DL the Google Chrome portable app from PortableApps.com so I wouldn't have to uninstall it if it tried to make all all kinds of secondary connections home. . As far as Google goes, I love their Search-Engine. 2nd I detest all the Google Tracking crap and usually keep pretty close tabs on anything secondary flying out to any Google IPs.
So I DL their portable ap and try to install it in a desktop folder on the LUA, and unlike FX Portable & Opera Portable, sure enough the darn thing wants to call home right out of the box before installing & 5 sub-programs are asking for a 'net connection. (System32 IE Frame.dll, LUA-Temp--inetc.dll, LUA-Temp---InstallOptions.dll, System32--Sh folder.dll, LUA-Temp--System.dll). This didn't surprise me much. 'Just wondered if this normal for Google Chrome as I haven't had another portable app try to call home after unzipping it for install, except for this one. (I only run about a half-dozen portable apps & try them out in a destop LUA before installing them on the USB drive). Thx
