Access 2002 on WinXP HE

    Can anyone confirm or deny the following?

    Access 2002 (Office XP version) will not run on WinXP Home Edition. You need Professional Edition to run Access although Word, Excel and PowerPoint will run in the Home Edition.

    The recommended system configuration to use Microsoft Office XP is Microsoft Windows® XP Professional¹ on a personal computer with a Pentium III processor and 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM. Below are the minimum requirements your computer needs to run each suite of Office XP. Some Office XP features have additional requirements.

    24 MB of RAM plus an additional 8 MB of RAM for each Office program (such as Microsoft Word) running simultaneously
    Windows Me, or Microsoft Windows NT®
    32 MB of RAM plus an additional 8 MB of RAM for each Office application (such as Microsoft Word) running simultaneously
    Windows 2000 Professional

    Office XP Professional and Professional Special Edition²
    245 MB of available hard disk space
    An additional 115 MB is required on the hard disk where the operating system is installed. Users without Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Office 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1) require an extra 50 MB of hard disk space for System Files Update.

    It's not true, but if u look at what I posted above, it says Microsoft highly recommends you run it in XP Pro, but u can still run it in other OSs. Read my post.

    Not true at all... my dad runs Office XP Pro on his 98 machine, so XP Pro is definatly not required :p

    But his question was specific to Access in Office XP. Not Office XP in general.
