    Hi

Having created a control on a form, I'd like to make it so on Dbl_click it will open a dialogue box so I can navigate my file system and choose a file (let's say a PDF). Then, when I choose the file and close the dialogue, the PDF will become a linked object and shown as an icon in the form.

I know how to do the dialogue box part to give me a result filiename and part, what I am struggling with is the binding of the path/file to the object in Access as a linked file.

Has anyone ever done this so it is easy for my users to choose a file and link it to their records?

    Thanks in advance all

    Chris

Chris, did you look at the various versions of my "Document Control" database that I have posted, it sets up links to all sorts of files?

Chris, let me know if you want the latest version, I think it is still working OK, but I haven't had time to "Refine" it.
