    I am working on a query , and I need to calculate age from birth dates.
    if I use this Age: Year(Now())-Year([BIRTHDATE])

    It works but I need it from a specific date not NOW

    any help would be appreciated

    How do you want to bring that date in? From a text box on a form?

    The actual birth date is already apart of the query. I just added another column with the

    Age: Year(Now())-Year([BIRTHDATE])

    and it works, I just want the NOW changed to 10/27/2011 So I can calculate age at a cut off date

    make sense? i may have confused myself

    Just add the date you want in there enclosed in # in place of now. You could also have it prompt you for a date. The YEAR function however will make your date 2011 not 10/27/2011
