    Hello,

Im trying to help someone gain access to files on an external hard drive but am getting an access denied due to permissions error.

Most files and folders are accessible its only one folder in particular with contains spreadsheets that is causing the problem.

Ive tried logging in as admin same issue. the user has full ownership of the files in question so im not sure what else I can do.

    Any ideas?

The external drive has been always been plugged into this pc so the guy says. if it had been plugged into someone elses pc when the files were modified on it would this cause an issue even though the guy has full ownership of the files in question. It only 1 folder that is having this issue.
