Greetings all. I've a new from the box HP Pavillion with Win 7 6GB Ram, 640 GB HD, etc. I'm trying to get Thunderbird installed and transfer over my profile from my old laptop. The problem is that I need access to C:/Users/ME/ Application Data / ... etc so I can paste in my old email data also from Thunderbird. My access permission stops at "ME". I've looked at the permission properties via security settings and it shows that I have full control yet any effort to expand the data directory tree into Applications Data fails. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Download MozBackup and backup Thunderbird on the old laptop. Now move MozBackup to your new system and restore to the newly install Thunderbird. And its just that easy...
