    Hi there,
I want to re-install windows, but I have a portable device that is encrypted with truecrypt.

If I re-install windows, and re-install truecrypt, will I be able to access the drive again? Or would it become inaccessible?

If this would be a problem, what can I do to get around it?

provided you have the password or keyfile that you set up originally. you should be able to use any computer to access the portable device

if you need more help or reassurance, then contact truecrypt help on their forum, http://forums.truecrypt.org/ where experts on this will talk you through it and explain to you how to back up the original key/password & reinstall it on new computer
