So I was clearing out some stuff on my PC and I found a AMD catalyst software thing which I thought to be for my old graphics card (I recently upgraded to a NVIDIA) so I uninstalled it thinking nothin of it I then restated my PC following a windows update, and my mouse and keyboard was not working neither was any other usb device! But my mouse and keyboard still work in boot menus and in the BIOS so I assume it is a driver issue! I have tried my mouse on other pcs and it works fine!!

I was just wondering if there is any possible way to fix this, like downloading the driver from the BIOS menu or something! I need my computer as soon as possible

I am using windows 7 if you're wondering with an MSI MS-7721 motherboard, AMD processor I'm not sure on much else I'm not really a tech guy

Also my computer has a PS2 input for keyboard and mouse, like the old style green and purple so would it work if I purchased a ps2 mouse and then installed the drivers again

Please can someone help me fast!!

Restore PC to an Earlier Date & Time

    Go Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>System Restore

    • Click in the radio button Choose a different restore point
    • Click Next
    • put a tick in Show more restore points
    • Pick a Date before this happened
    • Click Next
This should restore the PC to that time & date

you may need to use safemode to do the restore. As the PC starts keep tapping F8 - a menu will appear - choose safemode

    windows 7

no harm in trying - if the PC has a PS/2 socket

    have you tried safemode
    - try safemode with networking (sometimes wireless does not work with safemode )
as the PC starts keep tapping F8 - a menu appears - choose
safemode with networking - see if that works

I have tried that and it doesn't work! Yet it all works fine when in the bios and start up menus! Erm is it possible to install software through the BIOS like save it to a flash drive from another PC?

    this might work
boot into the safemode menu and then choose "last known good configuration"

assuming you can move the arrow keys at that point

When does it come up with that? I tried safe mode and it just goes through a loads of text then starts and goes to the log in screen I did a windows repair thing and selected system recovery, this also didn't work as it wouldn't let me choose a point
