    Hi All,

I was trying to change my Windows 7 theme and now my account picture does not display when I power on my laptop. Once I login and try to lock the laptop it does display my account picture. Any ideas what it could be or I could try?

    Which W7? 32 or 64 bit?

How did you change themes? Did you change to a W7 theme that came with W7, or a 3rd party theme, one you downloaded from the internet.

Perhaps system protection would work for you.

What happens when you boot to safe mode?

    Windows 7 x64. I was using a 3rd party theme.

    What is system protection?

Good idea! Question if I do a system restore will only touch the system files right? Not any of my personal say Outlook, pictures, music, etc...

    Thank you!

    Edit:
NOTE: System Protection DOES NOT equal "system restore".
I am trying to help you avoid finding out the hard way [ loss of data ].

    Sadly, probably not so.
    See my thread.

Best option is to copy all of your data to another drive, or optical disks.
