    Hi Everyone

Wondering if anyone can help. I'm fixing a computer for my friend, who has an Acer 7720. When the laptop starts up, it give options for BIOS and Boot Priority. It then goes to a black screen with a flashing cursor.

I was thinking that it might be the hard drive that's failed, but it's recognised in BIOS (both hard drives are, but neither will boot).

I've tried start up repair but it was unsuccessful.

I would try to reinstall windows and see if that works but my friend doesn't want to lose all their pictures. Is there anyway that i can save them?

I've tried plugging in both hard drive using my sata to usb cable, but both drives just click constantly.

Your help would, as always, be hugely appreciated...

    Thanks
