Does anyone have an Acer Aspire 5740-5255 Intel I3 4GB laptop by any chance? I have an issue, you can see below email to their tech support where certain songs have a fuzzy noise and causes the laptop to lightly vibrate during certain instrumental songs...whether on youtube or mp3 form. That exact same song whether on youtube or mp3 will play perfect on
all other computers that I've tested desktop or laptop, new or old.

The song is the main theme from True Romance by Hans Zimmer which you can easily find on youtube. Is anyone able to confirm at max or close to max volume if their Acer Aspire 5740-5255 Intel I3 laptop can play that song perfectly or whether you also get a fuzzy background noise as well?

    Hi,

I got a call from Wayne saying that he does not believe it's hardware related.
This is not true as I am a tech support specialist myself and have asked
other techs to look at my laptop as well. IT IS hardware related, not OS or driver related
as I have already gone through that with Acer support already.

Wayne did not test youtube like I had asked because I know for a FACT that
this mp3 file is not bad in anyway and testing it directly via youtube like
my ticket history suggests will prove that it is the laptop that is bad or
defective. I've had an engineer, a network admin and several techs troubleshoot
with me on this issue and we have tested various laptops and desktops with
that same file and on youtube. In ALL tests, this Acer laptop was producing
bad fuzzy noise and the laptop shaked a bit throughout the song but
the other laptops and desktops, new or old, played that mp3 PERFECTLY via winamp, media player,
VLC player, OR on youtube directly at max volume.

    1) If it's not the sound card, could it possibly be the speakers? Can you test a pair of
speakers and plug it into the laptop and try to play that song via the speakers?
It has to either be the soundcard or speakers that need to be replaced...

    2) You can also try the youtube test on all your test computers. That song
will play perfectly on youtube on ALL computers EXCEPT on my Acer laptop.
That is another way how you will know that it is my laptop that is the problem.

    Thank you.
