Acer Aspire E1-431 Keyboard is not working at all (All key).

    Hey guys, I'm new here, and I want to ask you how to fix it? (the title says it all), it's not even work in the BIOS menu (well i can't even enter it :v)
    I'm using windows 7 64-bit, I am typing with my father's laptop. Sorry for my bad english, anyway Thanks.
    (And because I'm new here, i don't know if this is in the right or wrong section XD )

    Try using the keyboard on another computer and see if it works. If it's a USB keyboard, you should be able to use it on your father's laptop. If NO keys work on EITHER computer, the laptop is most likely ready for the garbage dump. I suppose you could try opening it up and cleaning it, but if it's not a very expensive keyboard I wouldn't even bother. Just replace it.

    Assuming you are using the laptop's keyboard you should try an external USB keyboard and see if it works. Although sometimes you have to disconnect the laptop's keyboard if its badly damaged to even get an external keyboard to work.
