Acer Aspire Laptop Won't Charge

Nearly two months ago, my laptop was dropped and the display was pretty badly broken. I had bought it at Walmart less than a year before, and had bought the protection plan for it. I sent it to be fixed, and they did fix the screen. However, when I got it back, I noticed that it will only recognize the power cord sometimes.

I called them and asked if I could have it looked at again, and they sent another box for me to send it in. I did. I just got it back today, and the repair summary mentioned nothing about my second repair request. The same issue still exists. I took it in to a local repair shop, and of course, it worked in the store, but as soon as we got home, it did not.

I have tried using other cords, other outlets, powering on and off, and taking the battery out and just trying to turn it on with the power cord, with nothing helping. Usually I will leave it to sit for awhile and then it will recognize the charger and charge. As of right now it will not.

What could be the problem and how can it be fixed?
