acer aspire m7720 pc wont start

    Hello all been using this desktop acer aspire m7720 intel i7 cor for awhile but all suddent it wont start when i press the power button i could here it start for half second and shuts down so each time when i press power to start the fan starts for half second and nothing els happens
    i have changed the power supply re checked the ram
    do not know what to do any helpplease

    How did you check the RAM? Try to change RAM slots.

    unplug everything, usb's, power plug and press and hold the start button for 30 secs to discharge any residual electric from the system and plug everything back to reboot to see it the situation changes..

    i have tried changing the ramslot and also the 30 sec hold nothing happen lat few dats it would not start in in go so i have to try unplug the power cable and reconnect and try it would start butnow itsnot starting

    Acer uses very low end parts and it would not surprise me that your mb has failed. I would try the following before condemning the board.
    1 Pull the board out of the case
    2 Reseat the cpu and apply new thermal compound when the hsf [cooler] is off. Do be sure and clean ALL parts with 91% or 99% alcohol
    3 Do the out of case build outlined in the sticky for problem builds [top of the hw forum]
    4 If it still will not POST with a known good pw supply, your mb has most likely failed
