    Hi,
I have an Acer Aspire 8930G with Win7 32-bit installed. The built-in webcam has the latest drivers and worked fine.
One day while using the computer, I got a popup saying "A USB device has malfunctioned" and the webcam no longer worked since then.
Device Manager is showing the port that the camera uses as "Unknown" with a "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" error.

I have reinstalled the drivers and nothing. I am dual-booting with another copy of Win7 and it doesn't work on that one either.

Has something physically broke for definite? Or could it be something like the BIOS?

    Thanks

Try to uninstall all the "Unknown Devices" that you see on the device manager, then restart your computer check if that helps.
