What do you mean "lost"? Did someone erase it? How do you know?

    Your question is pretty vague.

Do you have any recovery disks?

Were there any problems with the machine before this?

Is there an option "Repair My Computer" on the boot menu, and if so, what choices does that give you when chosen?

Have you tried the keypress option to enter recovery? I think on Acers it is Alt+F10 or F8 at boot time, but it may be Ctrl+F10 or F8.

If you get a command, type:

    dir

    for a directory.
